On May 5, agency staff will sell hot dogs for $1 each, and the money collected will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life (www.relayforlife.ca).

On May 5, agency employees will give out coffee and cookies at the entrance of their office.

Montreal 2000 McGill College Avenue Group Insurance and iA Clarington Catherine-Fée Paquin, ambassadrice

A total of 40 employees will work with the Moisson Montréal food bank (www.moissonmontreal.org) to sort donations and other tasks.


Employees can take advantage of this opportunity and donate perishable food items.
Montreal iA Excellence and MRA Mélanie Arbour, ambassador

As part of a Canada-wide contest, iA Excellence and MRA invite their employees to suggest individuals or organizations that help people with disabilities or serious illnesses, a reference to the expertise of these two companies.

On May 5, donations totalling $17,500 will be made among the nominations.
Quebec City iA Financial Group (1080 Grande Allée) Catherine Lacroix (Lean), Pascale Léveillé (HR), Valérie Morissette-Doyon (HR) and Yanick Morin (Comm.)

In partnership with the Société de la Rivière Saint-Charles (www.societerivierestcharles.qc.ca), the Continuous Improvement, Human Resources and Communications and Digital Experience departments will clean up the shoreline of the Saint-Charles river in preparation for the Fête de la rivière (event celebrating the river).

They will take this opportunity to say hi and encourage joggers and walkers using the path that runs along the river.
Quebec City iA Financial Group (1080 Grande Allée) Geneviève Turcotte, Internal Audit

On May 5, Internal Audit will bring their smiles and fantastic “iA” look to help Autisme Québec (www.autismequebec.org) with their annual spring clean-up.

Abitibi/Val d'Or Career agency Annie Ouellet

On May 5, the agency team will invite business to buy spaghetti meals in support of L’Accueil d’Amos (www.laccueildamos.com), an organization that offers various services for those in need. The goal is to provide 1,200 means to families in need. Any one or any business that buys more than 10 meals will receive a box of donuts and a coffee with the message “Thank you for you generosity and for making a difference. Have a great day”.

Châteauguay Career agency Marie-Laure Collinet

The agency team will provide hot-dogs to passers-by and other people in their building, and wish people a nice day.

Chicoutimi Career agency Myriam Guimond, ambassador

The agency team will hold two car washes, and sell hot-dogs and refreshments. The money collected will be split 50/50 between the Fondation Jean Allard, which helps children with autism, and the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

LaSalle Mercier Career agency Manon Bernier

On May 5, agency employees will hold a barbecue to collect donations for the LaSalle youth centre.

Laval Chomedy Career agency Josée Lachance

Agency employees will give out coffee and muffins to people in their building.

Quebec City Langelier Career agency Doris Gélinas

Agency employees will give out coffee to visitors of the shopping centre located near their office.

Montreal iA Securities and iA Financial Group Isabelle Gaudet and Jean-Pierre Doucet, ambassadors

Until May 5, all employees at 2200 McGill College Avenue are invited to bring non-perishable items to be donated to the Moisson Montréal food bank (www.moissonmontreal.org).

Agency staff will offer smiles and cake to visitors to their building from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

At lunchtime on May 5, the team at 1150 Grande Allée West will give flowers to the residents of the Champenoise retirement home (www.lachampenoise.qc.ca).

The Accounting and Actuarial Services team will collect outdoor and sports equipment to benefit Accès Loisirs Québec (www.accesloisirsquebec.come), an organization that helps low-income people of all ages gain access to recreational activities.

Employees are organizing a group meal for 125 people in need in the basement of Saint-Rodrigue church.

Ten employees from the Mortgage Loans Department will clean up the parking lot and a section of the outdoor area of the CASA rehabilitation centre (www.centrecasa.qc.ca), in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures.

Quebec City iA Financial Group and iA Auto and Home 925 Grande Allée Hubert Gagné, ambassador

The Mortgage Loans, Group Savings and Retirement, Real Estate Investments and iA Auto and Home teams will hold a toy drive for Fondation Reno-jouets, an organization that collects toys for disadvantaged and sick children.

On May 5, all toys and cash donations will be given to the organization.

The agency team will spend the afternoon at the Christ-Roi home-care centre, where they will put on a musical show, interact with the centre’s clients, have a draw for those in attendance, and provide snacks.

On May 5, a team from the CIP (corporate Intranet platform – SharePoint) will spend some time at the Maison des jeunes l’Escapade (www.maisondesjeuneslescapade.com), a centre for youth in the Val-Bélair borough of Quebec City, to update the centre’s music room.

A team will bake cupcakes in the colours of iA Financial Group and on May 5, will hand them out at the Café rencontre (www.caferencontre.org), a community soup kitchen and meeting place.

Employees will be invited to donate clothing in the collection bins provided and on May 5, the Scouts will collect the donations and distribute them to various community associations.

The Legal Department will donate evening dresses and accessories to Anges du bal (www.angesdubal.org), an organization that provides graduation outfits to graduates in need.

Employees from the Investments Department will collect clothing and sports equipment to benefit École des Berges elementary school, in the Saint-Roch neighbourhood of Quebec City.

Saint-Hyacinthe Career agency Renée Tremblay, Branch Manager

On the afternoon of May 5, the agency team will give out snacks and balloons to children at an elementary school in an underprivileged neighbourhood. The team also plans to play ball with the 167 children from the 13 classes at the school.

Employees will be handing out coffee and water to the good people of Toronto, encouraging people to do a good deed for others.

In the afternoon, they will be hosting their own community ice cream parlour. For a small donation of a canned good, employees will receive an ice cream. The canned goods will then be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank (www.dailybread.ca).
Toronto iA Clarington, iA Investment Counsel, TE Financial, Forstrong, iA VM and iA Financial Group 26 Wellington and 522 University Victoria Polera, Troy Harrison, Meghan Legere and Veronique Girard, ambassadors

Co-workers at both 26 Wellington and 522 University will be sending 50 volunteers to the Daily Bread Food Bank (www.dailybread.ca) to sort donations and perform other tasks.

A team will walk around the neighbourhood around 522 University Avenue to tidy the sidewalks and public areas.

On May 5, agency staff will prepare dessert for and make Mother’s Day cards to be distributed to the users of the Centre d’action bénévole Laviolette community service centre (www.cablaviolette.org).

Vancouver iA Financial Group Anabela Abreu and Salima Chmilar, ambassadors

Friendly competition between the various departments at our Vancouver office will help raise donations for the Canadian Cancer Society’s (www.canadiancancersociety.ca) Relay for Life.

On May 5, iA Financial Group will offer coffee, cake and a small gift to all building occupants. Additionally, all employees of the three Vaughan-based subsidiaries will be invited to pay a $10 “penalty” and wear their favourite shirt.

The money collected will benefit the SickKids Foundation (www.sickkidsfoundation.com).
Waco and Phoenix iA American Stacy Fisher, ambassador

A group of employees from iA American in Waco and Phoenix will get involved with Habitat for Humanity (www.wacohabitat.org). Many will volunteer for two group construction projects to help low income families. All employees are invited to collect money for the organization.
